| | Brewer & Shipley's annual shows at

        Wildwood
Springs Resort in Steelville, Missouri, were extra special this
year.  Several long-time friends and musical associates of Brewer &
Shipley came for the weekend, and Michael & Tom were in a great mood to
put on two amazing shows.  One fan termed it a Brewer & Shipley
        summit.
It was fitting that their friend, and frequent contributor to this site,
Len Jaffe performed the opening sets both nights, mixing some classic
folk songs with his own self-penned tunes.  Then when
Brewer & Shipley hit the stage, fans who made it to Steelville were in for a very special treat.  At about the mid-way point of both
the Friday & Saturday shows their long-time guitarist
        Larry Knight,
        who
hasn't played with them in almost 30 years, joined Brewer & Shipley

on stage and added some amazing electric guitar to augment their
great acoustic sound.  The audiences loved it, and so did Michael &
Tom.    In attendance were long-time friends Dan "Mort" Moriarty and Gary
        Peterson,
        who were with Michael,
Tom, and Larry in the Good Karma days. So it
was so appropriate that Saturday night's last encore ended with a
song they haven't performed live in years, their old friend Ted
        Anderson's
        "Seems Like
        A Long Time".   Michael
called it the most fun time they have had in their nearly 15 years at
        Wildwood. | |
