The same
sites that list Brewer & Shipley as a "California duo" and having
released an album titled "Not Far From Free" also quote: "Their song 'Keeper of the
Seven Keys' was recorded by H.P. Lovecraft and also appeared on their
1968 debut, Down in L.A.."
The correct title of the song on both the H.P. Lovecraft and Brewer &
Shipley versions, was simply "Keeper of The Keys". But Google "Keeper of The Seven Keys/Brewer &
Shipley" and see how the misinformation is perpetuated on sites
everywhere. I quit counting at 25 sites that had this incorrect
information propagated. |
