I've made music my whole life. I sang on the
radio at four years old, and began performing professionally on stage and on
television while still in high school, but this is only my second solo
endeavor.
"Retro Man" is somewhat of a "concept album", if one can still call them
that. A personal expression of socio/political/spiritual thoughts and
feelings. It even comes with a warning..."This CD contains material
defending the Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the United States and
may lead to independent thinking".
The songs came about over a long period of time. One or two of them were
written over a decade ago.
It's especially pleasing to me to have incorporated into the project the
musical talents of two brothers, a sister, our mother (rest her soul), three
nephews. and a life long friend.
With few exceptions, almost all of the musical instruments on the CD were
played by yours truly and the engineer, Gary Smith. It was a technical
challenge to a "retro man", but lots of fun putting it together.
